6 Spiritual types

By

Spiritual awakening opens a new path that wasn’t available to us during previous phases of life. It is a path that leads us inwardly, to the mysterious world of the unconscious. We begin to understand that our main mission here on planet Earth is to acquire and shine more Light into the world. The path of Enlightenment thus becomes our new direction.

But there are so many different teachings and suggestions regarding the path of Enlightenment. The peak of human potential starts to remind the highest mountain with many different paths and many stages. What is the right path for me? How do I recognize which way to go?

Knowing my spiritual type can help me better navigate within the current chaos of information and different kinds of esoteric or “spiritual” offers. Our inner “spiritual personality” defines the most suitable path to the vibrational mountain of Enlightenment. The more I know my Self, the more I know which way to go and which not to go.

In the following article, I will name the main spiritual types and their general description in relation to the mentioned inner path of Enlightenment. It is important to understand the types in their original purest sense, not religiously, but spiritually.

The Gnostic type

If you are the Gnostic type, you are a true seeker of Knowledge. Truth is the most important value for you. A Gnostic is a person who makes a careful distinction between false or artificial information and the true, “living” information that expands his or her consciousness. Through a great desire to know the Truth, a Gnostic is initiated to the sacred Knowledge that opens new and new possibilities of reality. Every bit of Knowledge thus symbolizes an imaginary step toward the heavenly realm.

The Gnostic path is a journey of deeper realization. Such a realization has the potential to partially and later completely change your understanding of the world and yourself. If you are a true Gnostic, you want to know the Truth even though it can reveal something seemingly unwanted about yourself, others, or reality in general. But, it is all worth it because it brings you closer to the blissful source of Truth, God. Truth is the Light that shines through the darkness of the unknown and enlightens your being.

The Tantric type

The Tantric spiritual type has a great understanding of Life energy. He or she understands everything and everyone through the sensibility to energies. The world is made of the sacred Life energy and thus everything is sacred. The Tantrics are masters of non-duality, seeing the hidden sacredness in all that is.

The foundation of the Tantric path is thus cultivating and purifying Life energy. The Tantrics carefully choose their thoughts, words, and actions because they are aware of the following “energetical consequences”. Do I want to invest my Life energy in this activity? Will it deplete my energy, or do I plant here a “seed” that will bring fruits of even more energy?

The Tantrics are also known for their great knowledge of Sacred sexuality. Sex is a divine ritual that helps them to acquire more Life energy, to heal their energetical bodies, or to achieve nirvanic states of consciousness. Sex is a spiritual marriage of the feminine and masculine.

The Christian type

The Christian spiritual type understands the power of God to redeem, to “forgive the sins”. The Christian type thus chooses a virtuous life of renunciation and repentance. Through that, he or she offers their physical ego to the divine and chooses a position of great humility. The Christians’s humility and kindness to all living beings enable God’s Light to unveil his or her spiritual potential. The true Christian is becoming a vessel of God’s will and so can channel the infinite possibilities of the divine Light into the world of matter.

Spiritual Christians understand the Heavenly Kingdom is a vibrational dimension within them, and so available during their lives. Their path isn’t about waiting for judgment in the afterlife. They desire to bring Heaven on Earth, to establish a bliss of Love and Truth in their own body. Thus they become truly “Holy”. That is the main difference between spiritual and religious Christianity. Spiritual Christianity is a path to Enlightenment, or in other words – Holiness.

The Buddhist type

The Buddhist spiritual type is destined to become a master of meditation. He or she develops unshakable concentration and power of the mind to see beyond the veil of illusion, to recognize falsehood. Through the art of meditation, the Buddhists are able to remain connected to their true Self and observe the confusing reality of physical senses with deeper understanding. Meditation is their main key to being strongly rooted in the Self and thus gradually enlightens the physical ego.

The Buddhist, or in general, the Eastern path is to remain in the center between polarities, to achieve non-duality. Wisdom helps to understand the attempts of the ego to keep the mind in quarrels between left or right, good or bad, better or worse, etc. Through finding the center we can establish inner peace and invite more Light into our bodies.

The Shamanic type

Druids and shamans are known for their abilities to enter astral and spiritual worlds to gain knowledge or spiritual initiations. If you are a shamanic type, you are naturally attracted by the mystical realities. You might possess abilities to see “things others don’t.”

The Shamans are also skilled in using sacred medicine. With great respect to these powerful tools, they induce altered states of consciousness, purify and heal their energetic bodies, and journey into the unseen worlds. The Shamans achieve their ascension through a deep shadow work, facing the forces that prevent them from growing.

The shamanic type is deeply connected to the earthly forces, to the living nature of “mother Gaia”. The “shamans” enjoy being in the forest, feeling the ground on their bare feet or hands, they profoundly understand trees, mushrooms and other plants, rivers, mountains, air, and every other part of nature.

The Eclectic type

It is very common to be inspired by different approaches, to unveil different spiritual types within myself. The Eclectic type derives ideas from all teachings and masters some of them or all of them. The Eclectic type is the most versatile one. Such a person finds a way to merge different approaches in his or her own philosophy. Meditation skills, psychedelic experiences, virtuous life, energy work, knowledge of mantras and mudras, etc., can be all integrated into one path. The different areas and tools can also change in time depending on the needs of the current phase of awakening.
